Conserve Energy During Extreme Weather Conditions

Posted:

During extreme weather conditions, like the intense heat we experienced last week, NYSGEG monitors their substation equipment. The current demand for energy + high temperatures puts additional stress on the system in the county. You can help by conserving power as much as you can.

You can do this by not running major appliances until after 8 pm, turning off lights when you leave a room, turning up the thermostat by a few degrees, and ensuring your AC filters are clean and clear.

WEBSTER BROOK ROAD CLOSURE

Posted:

The Town of Delhi Highway Department will be closing Webster Brook Road in the Town of Delhi for the replacement of a large culvert beginning on Monday, July 25th.  The closure will be one mile from State Highway 10 and the roadway will remain closed an estimated one month time period due to the required time needed for the concrete to cure before back fill. The new arch radius structure will replace the failing existing culvert that is currently in place and causing hazards to the roadway and making for unsafe driving surfaces.

All traffic past the work zone will need to choose the alternate route of travel to Scotch Hill Road in the Town of Kortright until the construction project is completed.

The Town of Delhi would like to thank everyone for their cooperation to make this important improvement possible for the safety of all and apologize for any inconveniences during the road closure project. Contact can be made to the Town of Delhi Highway at (607) 746-2237 with any questions or concerns on this project.
