NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Delhi Town Board will hold a public hearing on the Preliminary 2017 Budget at the Town Hall at 7:15 pm, on the 8th day of November, 2016 and that at such hearing any person may be heard in favor or against the preliminary budget as compiled for or against any item or items therein contained.
Pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the town officers are hereby specified as follows:

Delhi's Ice Rink will open for the 2016 season at noon on Saturday, January 23rd. The rink is located in Sheldon Park near Delware Academy. Borrow skates for free on site...or just stand by the fire and watch the cool kids skate. Enjoy free hot chocolate and snacks, courtesy of DCCAN (Delaware County Community Action Network).

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that I, the undersigned, collector of taxes for the Town of Delhi, Delaware County, State of New York, upon duly receiving the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes for the fiscal year 2016, will be in attendance at the Town Hall located at 5 Elm Street on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for the purpose of receiving taxes listed on said roll. 

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, taxes may be paid on or before February 4, 2016 without charge of interest. On all such remaining unpaid taxes after February 4, 2016, there shall be added interest of one(1) percent for the month of February and one (1) percent for each additional month or fraction thereof until such taxes are paid to the County Treasurer, pursuant to law. 

BE IT FUTHER NOTED there will be an additional charge of $20.00 for all checks returned unpaid.

The Town of Delhi is postponing the design/build proposal process for the new swimming pool and restroom/change rooms/mechanical building due on January 12th, 2016.

The new date for sealed proposals to be received as set forth in instructions to bidders will be 3:00 pm on March 8th, 2016 at the Town of Delhi Offices, 5 Elm Street, Delhi, NY, 13753. Bids will be opened and read at the public meeting at 7:30 pm on the day of the bid. Project budget is $900,000. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Town Board for the Town of Delhi at the Delhi Town Hall on the 10^th day of November 2015, at 7:00 pm, regarding the adoption of a Local Law to Override the Tax Levy Limit established in General Municipal Law §3-c.   This law is being proposed to comply with subdivision 5 of the General Municipal Law §3-c which expressly authorizes the Town Board to override the tax levy limit by the adoption of a local law approved by vote of at least sixty percent (60%) of the Town Board.  At such time and place all persons interested in the subject matter thereof will be heard concerning the same.

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Delhi will be having a budget workshop meeting on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 4:00pm at the Town Hall, 5 Elm Street, Delhi, NY.

The Town of Delhi is selling a 1992 Ford F-150 4x4 pickup truck in “as is” condition with a minimum bid of $500.  All bids must be received by Monday, August 10, 2015.  All bids should be mailed to Town of Delhi, Town Clerk’s Office,  5 Elm Street, Delhi, NY 13753, in an envelope marked “truck bid”.  Questions or viewing of the truck can be made by calling the highway department at 607-746-2237.  We reserve the right to reject all bids.

The Town of Delhi is seeking to establsh two summer youth employment positions (up to 35hr/week) to assist the Town Assessor with data entry. These positions will be available dependent upon funding from the Delaware County Youth Bureau. Interested youth should email their name, phone number, contact information of 2 references, and a brief resume (if available) to Councilman Bill Cairns at BillC@curtislumber.com by 5PM on June 19th.

The Town Council will hold a special meeting at 9:00AM on Friday, June 12 at the Town Hall. The special meeting is necessary to officially respond to bids received for a new pool.

Delhi's Joint Flood Commission will hold its first public meeting on June 22 at 6:30PM at Delaware Academy. It is important that members of the public attend this meeting, the first in a series, to help inform visiting engineers about flood issues in Delhi and to guide the near-term planning process.
