PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Delhi Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on proposed amendments to the Town of Delhi Zoning Law. Said hearing will take place at 7:00pm on January 10th, 2016 at the Town Hall located at 5 Elm Street in the Village of Delhi. Amendments proposed include the addition of a section to allow for and prescribe performance criteria for the development of Flag lots as well as amendments to the regulation of construction within the Special Flood Hazard Area. All interested persons will be given an opportunity to speak.

Public Hearing to Override the Tax Levy Limit

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Town Board for the Town of Delhi at the Delhi Town Hall on the 8th day of November 2016, at 7:00 p.m., regarding the adoption of a Local Law to Override the Tax Levy Limit established in General Municipal Law §3-c. This law is being proposed to comply with subdivision 5 of the General Municipal Law §3-c which expressly authorizes the Town Board to override the tax levy limit by the adoption of a local law approved by vote of at least sixty percent (60%) of the Town Board. At such time and place all persons interested in the subject matter thereof will be heard concerning the same.
Copies of the proposed law shall be available at the time of the hearing and shall be available at times prior to and after the hearing at the Town Clerk’s Office during normal business hours for the purpose of inspection or procurement by interested persons.
The proposed Local Law to Override the Tax Levy Limit Established in General Municipal Law §3-c establishes the Delhi Town Board’s intent to override the limit on the amount of real property taxes that may be levied by the Town of Delhi.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Delhi Town Board will hold a public hearing on the Preliminary 2017 Budget at the Town Hall at 7:15 pm, on the 8th day of November, 2016 and that at such hearing any person may be heard in favor or against the preliminary budget as compiled for or against any item or items therein contained.
Pursuant to Section 108 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the town officers are hereby specified as follows:

Ice Skating 2016 Opening Day - Saturday, January 23

Notice of Tax Collection for the Town of Delhi

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that I, the undersigned, collector of taxes for the Town of Delhi, Delaware County, State of New York, upon duly receiving the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes for the fiscal year 2016, will be in attendance at the Town Hall located at 5 Elm Street on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for the purpose of receiving taxes listed on said roll.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, taxes may be paid on or before February 4, 2016 without charge of interest. On all such remaining unpaid taxes after February 4, 2016, there shall be added interest of one(1) percent for the month of February and one (1) percent for each additional month or fraction thereof until such taxes are paid to the County Treasurer, pursuant to law.
BE IT FUTHER NOTED there will be an additional charge of $20.00 for all checks returned unpaid.

The Town of Delhi is postponing the design/build proposal process for the new swimming pool and restroom/change rooms/mechanical building due on January 12th, 2016.
The new date for sealed proposals to be received as set forth in instructions to bidders will be 3:00 pm on March 8th, 2016 at the Town of Delhi Offices, 5 Elm Street, Delhi, NY, 13753. Bids will be opened and read at the public meeting at 7:30 pm on the day of the bid. Project budget is $900,000.
